Registered Nutritional Therapist
Having spent over 11 years in the Digital Industry, I decided to delve into the world of health and well-being and retrain as a Nutritional Therapist. After seeing a family member battling with a complex health condition, who failed to find answers in conventional healthcare, I decided to learn more. I started researching online but I found a plethora of conflicting information which I couldn’t decipher between. As my knowledge progressed, I was also convinced that diet and lifestyle plays a vital role in optimal health. So, I retrained with The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London on their NTEC accredited Nutritional Therapy Diploma course. I graduated as a Registered Nutritional Therapist (Distinction) in 2017.
Having rediscovered my passion for learning, I’m continuing my education undertaking a MSc in Advanced Nutrition (Research & Practice) studying with the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. This MSc is accredited by Middlesex University.
As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, I am also committed to upholding the professional standards outlined by the professional bodies. This includes the British Association of Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and Complementary & Natural Healthcare Commission (CNHC). Both of these bodies require members to have trained at an accredited institution. They also require members to undertake yearly CPD to maintain the highest standards within the industry.
The CNHC is both Government and NHS recognised, and is the only regulator for Nutritional Therapists accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. My CNHC registration number is 000034-J17.
